The Russos are back!
Season 2 of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place officially has a premiere date, and some major guest stars too.
The new season of the Selena Gomez-produced Wizards of Waverly Place spinoff series will premiere with two episodes on Friday, September 12 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Disney Channel. All episodes will then drop on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets on Wednesday, October 8.
Selena, who also serves as executive producer, returns as Alex Russo in a special guest appearance this season.

Other newly announced guest stars include Freya Skye as Piper, Harvey Guillén as Gossip Stone, Kirsten Vangsness as Bigelow McFigglehorn, Recker Eans as Quentin, Tobias Jelinek as Lord Morsus, Patrick Bristow as Wiz M.D., and Eleanor Sweeney as Bella Bianchi.
Longtime fans can also expect some familiar faces from the original series: Bill Chott returns as Mr. Laritate, Sean Whalen is back as Mantooth, and Amanda Tepe appears in a special holiday-themed episode.
The show stars David Henrie as Justin Russo, alongside Janice LeAnn Brown, Alkaio Thiele, Max Matenko, Taylor Cora, and Mimi Gianopulos.
Season 2 will follow Billie as she adjusts to life as a Russo, now complicated by the fact that she’s no longer the only wizard in the house. With Roman and Milo’s powers awakened, Justin must train three young wizards for the Family Wizard Competition. Meanwhile, a mysterious threat looms that could put the entire family in danger.
