Tyra Banks will forever be thankful for Victoria’s Secret!
While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Banks, 51 — who walked in nine shows during her tenure with the brand before retiring from modeling in 2005 — was asked whether she ever planned on returning for this year’s show, which was held in New York on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
The model explained that she’s been busy Down Under promoting her Hot Ice Cream, which she’s been serving up at her Australian ice cream shop, SMiZE and Dream.
“I’m in Australia doing Hot Cream and stuff … I don’t know, we’ll see,” she shared when questioned whether she considered heading back for the show.
Banks recently revealed her Sydney shop’s first Hot Ice Cream flavor, Hot Mama. However, the treat was only available for a week, from Sept. 26 through Oct. 3, according to her previous social media videos.
Banks, who made her grand return to the catwalk at the 2024 VS Fashion Show, continued to tell Entertainment Tonight of the company, “Victoria’s Secret is an American staple and now a global institution. So I’m so happy it’s back.”

“And I probably wouldn’t be sitting here talking to you about hot ice cream if it wasn’t for what Victoria’s Secret did for my career,” she shared.
The former host of America’s Next Top Model told the outlet, “10 years of being an Angel with them, you know? And being the first Black many things for them. And breaking down those doors and now seeing all that beautiful diversity.”
“Like, following that door that we opened is so beautiful. So, I have a lot to thank [them for],” she insisted.

Banks’ comments come after she strutted her stuff on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show catwalk on Oct. 15, 2024, to the roar of the crowd as “Native New Yorker” played.
The star meant business as she walked down the runway at the time in a silver cape with black lining, a crystal-crusted bustier, sparkly leggings and heels.
After her comeback, Banks appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show on Oct. 23 of last year, where she discussed the iconic moment.
“When I saw you, I just thought, I know you know how to work it,” host Drew Barrymore told Banks of seeing her on the runway during the show. “But I felt, coming from you, like, this true joy, true feeling it, true feeling good about yourself, true living in the moment and really present. Is any of that apt or correct?”
“You are just hitting every single cylinder right now,” the model replied.

She continued, saying that in the past, she “would walk for myself.”
“But when I was walking on the Victoria’s Secret runway this time, I felt like everybody was inside of me,” Banks explained. “50-year-old women, insecure women — I just felt like there was more, and I look at the playback and I’m like, boom, boom, boom. I was stomping because I felt like I was a vessel more so than it’s just all about me. It was different.”

Banks also noted that her physique had changed since her modeling days.
“Also what was different is my boobies were like 10 times bigger because I was about 40-50 pounds heavier on this runway than when I retired,” she told Barrymore. “So I was like, ‘Don’t fall out, don’t fall out.’ “
