Twitch streamer Emiru is speaking out after a horrible situation.
The 27-year-old streamer was sexually assaulted during the first day of TwitchCon 2025 in San Diego, Calif.
During her meet-and-greet event, Emiru was speaking to a fan when a man could be seen quickly making his way up to her and attempting to kiss her by force. She pushed him away, and the man was quickly pulled away by a security member.
Emiru reportedly returned to complete the meet-and-greet afterward, via Complex.
Fan footage of the assault quickly went viral on social media, as many users called out Twitch for the irresponsible handling of the situation.
Both Twitch and Emiru have since spoken out, and their statements contradict each other.
