It’s also said that cameras are already picking back up as Steven McBee Sr is sentenced in his fraud case, which was a central plot point throughout season two.

The patriarch of the family plead guilty in late 2024 for crop insurance fraud and he could face up to 30 years in prison without a chance of parole, as the offense is a Class B felony. His sentencing has been pushed back multiple times, and is scheduled to take place on Thursday (October 16).

According to a memo on October 6th, prosecutors asked US District Court Judge Stephen R Bough to hand Steven Sr a sentence of 41 months, or three years and five months, in prison, followed by an additional three years of supervised release and over $4 million in restitution.

In season two, viewers saw the family struggling to meet crop deadlines and keep the business afloat, while Steven Jr tried to keep the investigation from his brothers, before he eventually informed them of what was going on.

Per ratings from Bravo, the second season averaged 3.1 million viewers weekly across platforms, up 32% from season one on Peacock and up 213% on DVR.

Here’s a season two synopsis: The stakes couldn’t be higher as eldest brother Steven Jr. has been left in charge of the McBee family farm and the race is on during harvest season to save it from being foreclosed. With Steven’s relationship with Calah on the rocks, Jesse’s anxiety around marrying Alli and Cole buckling under the pressure of becoming a father with pregnant girlfriend Kacie, these young men find themselves attempting to salvage their relationships and save the farm at the same time. When an FBI investigation threatens to take down their business, their mother, Kristi, has to step in to keep the family from falling apart.
