The Diplomat Season 3 is here!
The Netflix hit series dropped its third season on Thursday (October 16).
The third season of the series sees Bradley Whitford join the cast as Todd Penn, the husband of Allison Janney’s President Grace Penn.
Creator, showrunner, and executive producer Debora Cahn says: “Season 3 flips the chessboard. Kate lives the particular nightmare that is getting what you want.”
David Gyasi, Ali Ahn, Ato Essandoh, and Rory Kinnear also star.
Here’s the official logline: “In the midst of an international crisis, a career diplomat lands in a high-profile job she’s unsuited for, with tectonic implications for her marriage and her political future.”
Of course, fans are curious if the show will continue on for another season.

The Diplomat has been renewed for Season 4 at Netflix!
The streamer said in a statement: “Kate (Keri Russell), Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell), and the rest of the political power players will be back for more stately homes and state secrets.”
Filming is slated to begin this fall on the fourth season.
There’s also news about two stars being promoted to series regulars in Season 4 already!
