Another movie in The Conjuring universe is on the way as a sequel to The Curse of La Llorona is in the works.
The Revenge of La Llorona will be directed by Santiago Menghini and has set Magnum P.I.‘s Jay Hernandez and Chicago Fire‘s Monica Raymund as the leads.

Raymond Cruz, who played curandero Rafael Olvera in the first movie, will return to reprise his role.
Rounding out the cast are Edy Ganem, Martin Fajardo, Acston Luca Porto, and Avie Porto.
THR reports that the movie will see “the vengeful spirit La Llorona returning, forcing a fractured family to confront their past and join forces with their estranged curandero grandfather to battle ancient evils, before the Weeping Woman claims their children forever.”
