Stella Banderas and Alex Gruszynski Tie the Knot in Spain — and Proud Dad Antonio Toasts the Newlyweds

Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith’s daughter is married! 

Stella Banderas, 29, tied the knot with her longtime love, Alex Gruszynski, in Spain on Saturday, Oct. 18. Her proud parents were by her side for the special occasion.

Antonio, 65, could even be seen in photos holding up a wine glass to toast the newlyweds. He wore a classic black tuxedo as he smiled and soaked up the joyful moment.

Stella and Gruszynski announced their engagement on Instagram in August 2024.

“I get to hang out with my favorite person on earth forever!!!!!!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍,” Stella captioned her post, which showed off her dazzling ring.

The photo carousel also included throwback pictures of the couple from over the years, with some dating all the way back to their time together as preschool classmates. The location of the post was also marked at Wagon Wheel School, a preschool in Los Angeles, so it looks like Gruszynski popped the question at the place where they first met.

Griffith, 68, later shared the happy news in her own Instagram post alongside several black-and-white photos of the couple. In the caption, she briefly reflected on the pair’s journey from childhood friends to soon-to-be husband and wife.

“He asked…. On bended knee… she said yes ♥️. Stella and Alex are engaged to be married ♥️,” the Working Girl star wrote. “Their love story began in pre-school! True love, deep love! Congratulations to the beloveds!!! ♥️💥♥️💫♥️.”

In September last year, Stella’s father spoke to PEOPLE and touched briefly on his daughter’s relationship milestone.

“I feel great! She’s happy, I’m happy,” Antonio said before adding of Gruszynski, “He’s awesome. I’ve known him since he was a little kid.”
