In the complaint, via Us Weekly, Larry Patrick Griffin says he was driving a 2012 Honda sedan in May 2024 and while he was stopped in traffic, was hit in the rear by a Nissan pickup that Kathryn crashed into, also in the rear.
From the accident, Griffin claims he “suffered serious bodily injury, pain and suffering, and mental anguish, and will continue to do so in the future,” putting all the blame on Kathryn, who he says was “under the influence and sway of alcohol and/or controlled substances.”
Along with the injury and mental anguish, the man says his car received property damage as a result of her driving under the influence, including failing to use a degree of caution that a “reasonable prudent person would have used under the circumstances then and there prevailing.”
Larry Patrick Griffin is seeking unspecified damages from the lawsuit.
If you missed it, Kathryn was just ordered to serve a month in the Berkeley County jail in South Carolina, and was taken into custody on Friday (October 3).
While Kathryn was on Southern Charm since season one, she left the show in 2023 after eight seasons.
