Sarah Drew and Peter Mooney‘s mystery series is now airing on Hallmark Channel for the first time and season two will debut just one week after the first season finishes airing.

Peter said, “I think viewers will see a lot of cozy, Christmas comforts. There will be some cocoa, some merry, a tree,” and then Sarah joined in to add, “and also, murder!”
Sarah added, “There’s going to be some spicy romance, I don’t know between who, and we’re going to care a lot about all of the people who go down, so we’re going to need to solve these mysteries. And we’re going to learn more about Emily Lane’s back story, so it’s going to be very fun. Buckle up!”
Mistletoe Murders follows Emily Lane (Drew), the outwardly friendly, and optimistic shop owner of a charming, year-round Christmas-themed store, Under the Mistletoe. However, her inner voice reveals a sardonic sense of humor, cunning intellect, and keen eye for details most people would miss…because Emily has a big secret. Residing in the quaint tourist town of Fletcher’s Grove, Emily finds herself compelled to investigate not-so-quaint local murders. And when Emily begins her personal investigations, Detective Sam Wilner (Mooney), a smart local cop – with a crush on Emily that is not completely unrequited – begins to wonder if there’s more to Emily than meets the eye.
Talking about the two seasons airing back-to-back on Hallmark Channel, Sarah told News Channel 5, “The cliffhanger at the end of season one is so epic that people will dying for me, so you’ll only have to wait a week!”
Sarah took to Instagram to talk about the launch event.
“We had the incredible privilege of kicking off @hallmarkchannel #countdowntochristmas at the @opry ! We got to meet fans, hang backstage at the @opry and then watch an incredible show there that night! It was my first time and I was blown away by the experience… the sacredness of the place- the artists from across generations— the storytelling through stories and jokes and songs that felt deep and rooted and meaningful… I kept pinching myself! How did I get so lucky to be a part of this community?” she posted.
Sarah and Peter both got glammed up on Thursday night to attend the Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas launch party at Category 10 in Nashville.
The first two episodes of Mistletoe Murders season one aired on Hallmark Channel on Friday night and there will be two episodes airing every Friday night for six weeks!
