Rogue Bullet Fired at Andy Reid’s Office in Chiefs’ Practice Facility, No One Injured in May 2024 Event

An extremely scary situation unfolded last year, in May of 2024, at the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice facility, and thankfully, no one was hurt.

It’s being reported that a bullet was shot into the office of head coach Andy Reid. The 67-year-old coach was apparently there, alone, when it happened.

The Kansas City Police Department told a local news outlet, the Star, that no one was injured or struck by the rogue gunshot.

The publication now reports that the glass in his office has been replaced with bulletproof glass as a safety measure.

Apparently, the bullet struck about 15 feet from where he was seated, lodging into the wall.

Kansas City Police Department spokesperson, Captain Jacob Becchina, said: “There is no indication this was a targeted incident at any person or organization….Because the building was occupied at the time of the bullet coming through the window, the case is being investigated as an aggravated assault.”
