Rob Dyrdek Breaks Silence on ‘Ridiculousness’ Cancellation After 46 Seasons


Rob Dyrdek is speaking out following the cancellation of his MTV series Ridiculousness, which ran for 46 seasons.

The show will continue to air new episodes into 2026, but no more episodes are going to be produced. Just one day before the cancellation, it was reported that Rob had been making at least $32.5 million a year from MTV.

Rob, 51, took to social media to share a video message with fans to address the news.

“I just want to say thank you to every single person who ever watched any of my shows. 19 years, four different shows, 2034 episodes. I’m just so grateful. I’m grateful to MTV,” Rob said. “This was divine timing. I had really evolved over these last few years. And I was growing out of having that ball cap and standing on the Ridiculousness stage and dancing. You know, shooting the television show, what I was most proud of was how deeply efficient I got.”

Rob said that as time went by, he was able to be more efficient in filming the show, sometimes doing up to 12 episodes a day.

“Really it was because I was so committed this time mastery goal of mine. Of understanding all of my time and optimizing my time. That’s what really led to the show being so efficient, but my overall quality of life being so amazing,” he said.

Rob also teased new projects to come.

“I know that the reason I live such an amazing life and such a high-quality existence is because I account for all my time,” he said. “I created this so that everybody could easily account for their time, optimize their time, and thus optimize their quality of life.”
