Business magnate Richard Branson has shared some tragic news.
The 75-year-old businessman announced that his wife and partner of 50 years, Joan Templeman, has passed away at the age of 80.

He made the announcement on his Instagram, sharing a photo of her and writing a touching tribute in the caption.
“Heartbroken to share that Joan, my wife and partner for 50 years, has passed away. She was the most wonderful mum and grandmum our kids and grandkids could have ever wished for. She was my best friend, my rock, my guiding light, my world. Love you forever, Joan x.”
Several celebrities left comments to let Richard know they were thinking of him during this difficult time.
“Thinking of you, sir, Richard. She was so thoughtful and kind when I got to spend time with her on Necker Island. What an unimaginable loss brothers. Sending you and the family nothing but love,” said Ian Somerhalder.
Paris Hilton wrote, “So sorry for your loss. Sending you and your family so much love🙏🕊️.”

Richard and Joan met in 1976 and married in 1989. They have three kids, Holly, Sam, and Clare Sarah, who sadly passed away just four days after she was born.
