Ragtime is the sweeping musical adaptation of E. L. Doctorow’s classic novel that follows three fictional families in pursuit of the American Dream at the dawn of the 20th Century: Black pianist Coalhouse Walker, Jr. (Henry) and his beloved Sarah (Lewis), Jewish immigrant Tateh (Uranowitz) and his little girl, and a wealthy white family led by matriarch Mother (Levy). All grasping for the same dream, if only they can hold onto it.

More celeb guests at opening night included original cast members Audra McDonald and Brian Stokes Mitchell, Matthew Rhys, Danielle Brooks, Hamilton stars Phillipa Soo and Jasmine Cephas Jones, Colin‘s wife Patti Murin, Tony winner Adrienne Warren, theater owner Jordan Roth, and more. Pictured in the audience were Hillary Clinton and Anna Wintour.
