Prime Video has canceled two new shows after just one season each.
The Amazon streamer has announced that Jensen Ackles‘ Countdown and Daniel Dae Kim‘s Butterfly have both been axed after their freshman seasons.

Despite strong viewership in the U.S., Deadline reports that the Countdown cancellation was because of “total global viewership.” The streamer will continue to work with Jensen though as he has a first-look deal with the company and stars in the new The Boys spinoff series Vought Rising.
Butterfly was released all at once, instead of weekly drops. It’s unclear why the streamer decided to cancel the show though.
