The Los Angeles Police Department initially responded to the store for a battery report. However, after learning about the 7-Eleven employee’s condition, they reclassified the case as a homicide. Authorities have not yet arrested the manager involved, but the investigation remains active.

Officers continue to review security footage, gather evidence, and interview witnesses. They have asked the public for help in locating the suspect. Meanwhile, Jessica’s family is urging law enforcement to act quickly.
