Keaton, born in Los Angeles, rose to fame in the 1970s through her role as Kay Adams-Corleone in The Godfather films. She went on to star in classics such as Annie Hall, Father of the Bride, First Wives Club, and Something’s Gotta Give. For Annie Hall, she won the Academy Award, Golden Globe, and BAFTA Award for Best Actress. Over her career spanning five decades, Keaton earned three more Oscar nominations for Reds, Marvin’s Room, and Something’s Gotta Give.
Despite her long Hollywood career, Diane Keaton’s proudest role was that of a mother to her two adopted children, Dexter and Duke.
