“I’ve been such a fan of [del Toro] my whole life, like everyone. But it was also a lot of pressure,” she told Deadline. “And I remember landing in Toronto and feeling very scared. I’ve never been more scared walking into a film.”
She recalls playing Elizabeth Lavenza as “such an honor.”
Also feeling the pressure? Oscar Isaac!
“Well, it’s passion. I think passion is everything in this film,” he shared of the director’s infectious energy. “[Del Toro’s] a very passionate, joyous, funny, warm person, and mischievous as well. So, that was kind of an infectious energy throughout.”
FYI: Mia is wearing a Giorgio Armani Spring/Summer 2026 gown, fresh off the runway of the late Mr Armani’s last collection.
