The trailer for Chris Pratt‘s new movie has been released.
The 46-year-old actor stars alongside Rebecca Ferguson in the new AI thriller Mercy directed by Timur Bekmambetov and written by Marco van Belle.
Here’s the synopsis: “In the near future, a detective (Pratt) stands on trial accused of murdering his wife. He has 90 minutes to prove his innocence to the advanced A.I. Judge (Ferguson) he once championed, before it determines his fate.”

“We live in a world today where AI is knocking on the door and we don’t have time to understand what happened. AI could be our enemy, our friend or our child. This ticking clock is metaphorical of the time we live in now,” Timur Bekmambetov shared while promoting the movie at the 2025 New York Comic-Con, via Deadline.
Mercy hits theaters on January 23, 2026.
