Love in The Way Home transcends time, binding generations together.
The Hallmark original TV series, which first premiered in 2023 and is now available to stream on Netflix, follows three generations of women in the Landry family — Del (Andie MacDowell), her daughter Kat (Chyler Leigh) and Kat’s teenage daughter Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow). After years of estrangement, Kat and Alice return to Port Haven, Canada, to live with Del. But tensions rise as old wounds resurface, particularly over the mysterious disappearance of Kat’s younger brother, Jacob (Spencer Macpherson), years earlier.
The story takes a surprising turn when Alice discovers a magical pond on the family farm that transports her back in time to the 1990s. There, she meets a teenage version of her mother and begins to uncover secrets about her family’s past.
The Landry women’s family ties are complex, and so are their experiences with love. Kat’s heart is pulled across time to an unexpected romance rooted in another era. Meanwhile, Del, a widow, learns to open her heart again.
Off-screen, Leigh’s love life is far less complicated as she’s been married to her husband, actor Nathan West, since 2002.

MacDowell, who plays the Landry family matriarch, is currently single and content.
“My life is so full,” she said at Hallmark’s The Way Home: Clips and Conversation event in January 2025. “If [love] came into my life, I’d take it, I just don’t need to hunt for it.”
MacDowell continued, “I’m very satisfied with my life, I don’t think anything’s missing for me.”
The actress shares three children — Margaret Qualley, Rainey Qualley and Justin Qualley — with her ex-husband, Paul Qualley. They wed in 1986 and were married for 13 years before divorcing in 1999. MacDowell went on to marry Rhett Hartzog in November 2001 before divorcing in 2004.

Leigh, who portrays Del’s daughter, Kat, met her now-husband, West, while auditioning for a TV pilot more than two decades ago — and she knew he was the one from the first moment she laid eyes on him.
“I came around the corner, and he’s just kind of chilling on the ground. I was like, ‘That’s the guy I’m gonna marry,’ ” Leigh shared in March 2024 during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark.
The actors went on to wed in 2002 and now share three kids: son Noah Wilde and daughters Taelyn Leigh and Anniston Kae.
Evan Williams and Rotana Tarabzouni

Evan Williams, who plays Kat’s childhood friend and love interest, Elliot Augustine, married singer and actress Rotana Tarabzouni in June 2024.
To date, their only public appearance took place in January 2024 at the season 2 premiere of The Way Home in New York City.

Laflamme-Snow, who portrays Kat’s daughter, Alice, has been dating opera singer Cameron Martin since at least April 2023, per Instagram.
While the couple prefers to keep their romance private, Martin does show up on Laflamme-Snow’s Instagram feed from time to time, showcasing their travels together.
As a couple, they’ve visited Costa Rica, Rome, Vancouver Island and more.

Jefferson Brown, who plays Del’s late husband, Colton, married lawyer Debbie Jorgensen in August 2008.
The couple are now raising two children in Toronto, according to her Facebook.
Marnie McPhail and Reed Diamond

Marnie McPhail, who portrays Del’s best friend, Rita Richards, met her now-husband, actor Reed Diamond, on the set of the 2002 film Scared Silent.
They wed on Oct. 8, 2004, in Ireland, and share one daughter.
In addition to their love for acting, both McPhail and Diamond are musically inclined. They were members of the rock band Chuck Valiant, with McPhail as the lead singer and Diamond playing the guitar.

After dating for at least three years, Spencer Macpherson — who plays Del’s son, Jacob — married swimwear designer Paige Macpherson on Oct. 25, 2024, per Instagram.
Their black-and-white themed nuptials took place at the Harding Waterfront Estate in Ontario, Canada.
