Mariah Carey is sharing her controversial opinions.
The 56-year-old singer was a guest on Pitchfork‘s Over/Under series, published Thursday (August 14).
During the video, Mariah revealed that despite getting over 30 Grammy nominations throughout her long career, she thinks that both the ceremony and the award itself are “overrated.”

When asked about the Grammys, Mariah said, “I think the Grammys are overrated.”
She went on to clarify that she meant both the award itself as well as the award show. Throughout her career, Mariah has been nominated for over 30 Grammys and she’s taken home five in total since her first win in 1991.
Meanwhile, Mariah went on to reveal that she thinks Billboard charts are underrated. She said in the video, “Well, they matter to me a lot. So, I’m gonna say they’re underrated, ’cause not everybody is in that world.”
Mariah also revealed that she thinks Labubu dolls are appropriately loved by everyone, that she’s started to like wearing Crocs, and that Christmas is “so underrated.”
