Love Island’s Gabby McCarthy has lifted the lid on her past body image struggles amid the viral chatter around her G-cup breasts.
The Gold Coast content creator, who is currently on the seventh season of the Australian dating show, has been scrutinised online and in the villa by people who don’t believe her bust is real, despite her insisting so.
Now, the 21-year-old has shone a light on how ‘awful’ it feels to have her body picked apart by others.
‘I have had problems with my body image my whole life, so just being torn to shreds [people saying] she’s a liar… it’s just awful,’ she candidly admitted to news.com.au.
Gabby revealed that she even looked into getting a breast reduction when she was just 15 years old because of how insecure she felt.
Sadly, she turned to disordered eating when the body image pressure became too much.

‘I grew up in theatre, I grew up dancing, singing, acting – all high-pressure environments where everything is about what you’re putting into your body, what you look like,’ she shared.
‘I did develop an eating disorder from probably about seven years old,’ she said, adding that her breasts and body constantly fluctuated during this time.
Thankfully, she managed to seek help and has grown to love herself and her body thanks to the supportive people around her.
Gabby cheekily added: ‘After the show I’ll go get an X-ray to show everyone that my boobs are real!’
This isn’t the first time Gabby has opened up about her ample assets.
During her introduction on the reality show, the reality star insisted that they were not only natural, but a blessing when it came to dating.
‘I get this question every single day of my life. My boobs are natural!’ Gabby told viewers.
‘If I want a guy, I always get him. I’ve got the body, the face and the boobs,’ she boasted.
