Lindsey Halligan has been appointed by President Trump as the new Virginia U.S. Attorney and people are just now realizing that she has a longstanding connection to Erika Kirk.
The link between Lindsey and Erika likely does not have a connection to the new position as Lindsey has actually been on Trump‘s legal team for years, but it’s interesting nonetheless.
There has been criticism for Trump giving Halligan the position as she has only worked on three federal cases in the past, according to the New York Post. She is now expected to pursue charges against the FBI’s former director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James.
So, what’s the connection between Lindsey, Erika, and Trump?

Lindsey and Erika attended Regis University at the same time and were both on the basketball team there. They also both competed in the Miss Colorado USA pageant at the same time. In 2010, Lindsey was the third runner-up and Erika was the fourth runner-up.
Erika later won the Miss Arizona USA pageant in 2012 and represented the state at the Miss USA pageant, a competition that was owned by Trump at the time. Photos have been going viral this week of her posing in a bikini in front of the Trump logo.
As you probably already saw, Erika just shared a moment on stage with Trump at the memorial service for her late husband Charlie Kirk. Now, people are surprised to learn that they likely met over a decade ago.
