Lily James and Chris Hemsworth are teaming up for a new movie!
On Wednesday (July 30), it was announced that the 36-year-old Emmy-nominated actress has signed on to star opposite the 41-year-old actor in the new submarine action flick Subversion from Amazon MGM Studios.
Keep reading to find out more…Subversion follows “a once-promising naval commander (Hemsworth) who is blackmailed by a cartel-like organization into piloting a dangerous submarine carrying illegal cargo across international waters. Thrust into a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, with a Coast Guard officer (James) in hot pursuit, he must outmaneuver blockades and navigate perilous threats both inside and outside the submarine,” according to Deadline.
The movie is being directed by Patrick Vollrath from a script written by Andrew Ferguson.
Lily will next be starring alongside Riz Ahmed in the new movie Relay, which hits theaters on August 22. Watch the trailer here!
