Kristin Cavallari Debates Love Coach Shaun On Settling For 'Good Enough' In Relationships

With a short break, Kristin Cavallari‘s podcast ‘LETS BE HONEST’ is back again-for maybe the show had no time to keep one of the largest topics in dating sustained by Dave Bulldog-for “Can one settle for good enough in a relationship?” The reality-TV diva entered the podcast world to invite love coach Shaun, also @thelovedrive, to the franchise for a heated debate about modern love, expectations, and whether holding out for “amazing chemistry” is ever a realistic aspiration or lengths one would go to for being single forever.

The transcript-goes-scorching from an ejaculation of the ideas from Shaun’s side. People stopped looking for a “one,” and they now find somebody who’s a “0.67” (yes, he got mathematical) and “round up.” Why? Because imperfection exists, and an idea of a flawless person is nothing but just fancy thinking. Kristin was not about to let that one fly: “I WILL NOT BE SETTLING,” she said on Instagram alongside a side-eye emoji worthy of a reaction dismissive of bad humor. The whole thing then leads into twitch-dating-app fatigue, social anxiety, and whether “good enough” is just a polite excuse to lower one’s standards.

The fans in the comments section were split: Some sided with Shaun’s realism, as one person put it, “We don’t need a partner to meet all our needs,” while others stood firmly on the other side and supported Kristin at all costs. Another wondering aloud found a middle ground: “I don’t wanna settle either, but I’m not looking for perfection.” The wildcards came through with a throwaway: “A woman CANNOT love a man unless he gives her a penetration orgasm,” which… okay then.

Two critics have completely given up, one stating: “Kristin is waiting for a 10 and she’s full of shit. Single forever.” Ouch. Another one went with the philosophical: “People need to learn to be happy alone first,” which? Fair. And then maybe the most relatable: “Modern dating is like running in a circle trying to find the end.” Same.

Single for five years, Kristin refuses to let go: fireworks, compatibility, mutual effort. Then there is Shaun’s school: lower that bar and enjoy the ride. Is one right? Is the other wrong? Honestly, the only salvation everyone agrees upon is that dating in 2024 indeed is a mess-in the meantime, at least Kristin’s Rolex (yes, people noticed) looked effortlessly chic while debating it.

Still, the questions to follow would be: Would Kristin go and win with the no-settle policy, or is she going to eat those words in a couple of years? In any case, this episode did prove that nobody really ever agrees about love-the very thing that makes it funny, infuriating, and weirdly fun to watch unfold. Additionally, this dialogue recalls Shaun’s focus on self-love and relationships.
