Getting matched with your Hogwarts house has never been sweeter.
Starting on Monday, Aug. 18, Potterheads can get their hands on five brand-new Krispy Kreme doughnuts inspired by Hogwarts. Four of the Harry Potter: Houses of Hogwarts x Krispy Kreme Collection pay homage to the four houses — Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw — and the last of the lineup has an inconspicuous appearance but the essence of the Sorting Hat.
For Harry, Hermione and Ron’s house, Gryffindor, this doughnut fills an unglazed shell doughnut with cookie butter-flavored cream. It is dipped in red icing and Biscoff cookie crumble before being topped with golden icing drizzles and the Gryffindor crest.
Draco Malfoy enthusiasts may opt for the Slytherin Doughnut. The chocolate and green buttercream-topped original glazed doughnut has a chocolate cookie sugar blend and Slytherin crest.
The Hufflepuff Doughnut is an unglazed doughnut filled with brown butter toffee-flavored custard. It is dipped in yellow icing, drizzled with chocolate and cookie crunch and features a badger emblem, of course.
For Ravenclaw, this themed treat is an original glazed doughnut dipped in blueberry-flavored icing and topped with sprinkles and a house emblem.
Krispy Kreme
The last of the limited-time treats is the new Sorting Hat Doughnuts. The Sorting Hat Doughnuts all have the same exterior: chocolate frosting dip with gold stars and a gold Sorting Hat. But each has a random filling in one of the house colors inside. So, customers can take a bite and discover which house they were “assigned,” like the Sorting Hat. These will be sold separately from the other house-inspired doughnuts (which are available individually and in a dozen box with original glazed doughnuts).
Fans can dress up to celebrate the doughnuts on Saturday, Aug. 23, to score a free treat. On that day, customers wearing Hogwarts-inspired outfits can snag one free original glazed doughnut, no purchase necessary.
