Kate Middleton and Prince William are continuing a holiday season tradition with the reveal of their family Christmas card photo.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 43, starred in their annual Christmas card with Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

The photo, which was taken in April 2025 by photographer Josh Shinner, was unveiled on Thursday, Dec. 17.

In the image, the family can be seen sitting in a field filled with daffodils as they cozy up for the camera. William and Louis match in dark green sweaters and blue jeans, while Charlotte also wears a green Fair Isle sweater and scarf.

The snap appears to be from the same shoot the family took part in to wish William a Happy Father’s Day earlier this year.

While Princess Kate and Prince William often release a new family portrait as their holiday card photo, last year, they opted to release a still from a video that had been released a few months prior. The video, showing the family spending time outdoors, announced that Kate had completed chemotherapy after announcing in March that she was undergoing treatment for cancer. She shared in early 2025 that she was in remission.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ family was last seen together at Kate’s fifth annual “Together at Christmas” carol service on Friday, Dec. 5. George, Charlotte and Louis attended with their parents, as they have in recent years, to support their mom’s holiday event.

They will likely step out again with the royal family on Christmas Day, keeping with their annual tradition of walking to church for the holiday mass. Afterward, they greet well-wishers gathered outside, with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis often going home with small presents.

After their church outing, the British royals head back to Sandringham House for a Christmas lunch of turkey, potatoes, stuffing and more. At 3 p.m. local time, they gather to watch King Charles’ Christmas speech broadcast on television, followed by afternoon tea (and desserts!).

As for exchanging gifts, the royals traditionally present each other with “jokey and inexpensive” gifts on Christmas Eve.
