In a set of gleeful posts and videos chronicling her first trimester, McEwen opened up about the couple’s “rainbow baby.”

In one post on Instagram, McEwen shared glimpses from the couple’s maternity shoot from a recent trip to Hawaii. McEwen, wearing a white flowing dress, held her baby bump and posed with the baby’s sonogram photos alongside Ragains.

“half of me + half of u 💌 our rainbow baby, we can’t wait to meet you 🪽,” she captioned a post that featured the pictures.

Another post compiled clips of McEwen checking her first positive pregnancy test, sharing some of the first sonogram scans of the baby and clips of both her and Ragains’ parents reacting to the happy news.

In subsequent posts, McEwen shared she’s now in her second trimester, confirming that she and Ragains learned the baby’s gender already.

Pregnancy so far has been “rough,” she said, explaining that she has Type1 diabetes and that it has been difficult at times to balance her insulin needs amid fluctuating hormones.

Recently, she got an insulin pump to help manage the uncertainty, she added.

In October 2024, McEwen and Ragains experienced a miscarriage, she shared at the time. The influencer wrote then that, as she and her husband grieved, she decided to share the news because their baby’s “life deserves to be celebrated.”

McEwen honored both of her babies in a post on Sunday, Oct. 5, saying that she views the couple’s pregnancy after experiencing a miscarriage as a sign of hope.
