Jordan Chiles is opening up about her love life.

The Olympic gymnast, 24, revealed her relationship status when chatting with Keke Palmer on her podcast, Baby, This is Keke Palmer, on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

“No, I’m single! Everybody, I’m single,” said Chiles, who then went on to share details about her previous relationship that she said was “on and off” for two years.

“It was a communication thing for me,” she said of why the relationship didn’t work out, explaining, “I’m an Aries. Just because I’m all lovey dovey and cute, you gotta communicate. I need to know that you’re okay. I don’t care if it’s a ‘good morning,’ you got to communicate.”

“So, it was just something that, you know, he played overseas and that was getting harder and harder,” she added.

The Olympian said she’s “just been living life” since their split.

Palmer, 32, then asked Chiles if she enjoys dating other athletes, before the actress added that she doesn’t like dating people in her field. “Sometimes it can feel to much,” the Emmy winner explained.

“Sport-wise, I mean I don’t mind,” the Dancing with the Stars contestant said. “In gymnastics, no, I don’t think I would date another gymnast. Like I could be an NBA wife, I could be an NFL wife.”

“You know, all those things, so might as well… Pop off!” she added, yelling, “Courtsideeee!”

Palmer, who was totally vibing with Chiles’ optimistic dating energy, predicted that the Olympian’s DMs are “about to get popping off,” — and Chiles said it wouldn’t be the first time.

“It happens every time. Every time,” the star athlete revealed.

Chiles has kept her love life largely out of the public eye and hasn’t opened up much about her past romances prior to speaking with Palmer.

She has, though, spoken about her relationship to her Team USA teammates, who have been by her side throughout her Olympic successes since she made her debut at the 2020 Tokyo Games.

Chiles then returned to the Olympics for the 2024 Paris Games, where she and her “Golden Girls” teammates — Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Hezley Rivera and Jade Carey — took home a gold medal for Team USA in the women’s gymnastics team final.

A few months after, Chiles spoke with PEOPLE exclusively about her “big sister” Biles, saying coyly, “We had fun in the Village.”
