Kat Stickler has broken her silence on rumors that she’s dating John Mayer.
On Tuesday the 30-year-old media personality made it seem as if the two are not an item as she declared that she’s single during a video posted to social media.
While showing off her bouncy bob hairstyle, a friend out of the camera’s frame asked, ‘Kat, are you single?’
Kat then quipped, ‘Yeah, I already told you that! I cut all my hair off… out of the blue one day — you think I just did that for no reason?’
The video was labeled, ‘When a haircut is never JUST a haircut.’
It comes shortly after Kat and John were spotted out together in NYC and a source told Us Weekly that the singer, 47, allegedly ‘sought her out and pursued her.’

Kat’s post, which has over 65,000 likes on Instagram, was captioned, ‘Chopped the hair, kept the peace.’
She joked elsewhere in Tuesday’s post, ‘This [haircut] was a cry for help. This is a tell-tale sign of a relationship gone bad.’
Following her sighting with the Grammy-winning musician, an insider told Us Weekly, ‘Kat just broke up with someone she had been dating for a few months and thought it would be fun to date again, and was interested in John.’
The person close to the stars added, ‘He has been actively pursuing her, inviting her places and texting her often. She is interested and seeing where it goes.’
It was also noted that the connection is ‘still very new’ and she’s ‘having fun.’
Kat was seriously dating someone as recently as September, evidenced by a TikTok video in which she disclosed that he’d met her daughter.
She previously dated Bachelor Nation star Jason Tartick, but the two split last year after six months.
‘A lot of you have already guessed, and yes, Jason and I have broken up,’ the mother-of-one told her social media followers in October 2024.

She continued, ‘It was amicable. It just didn’t work. I don’t want to talk about it. Just wanted to tell you.’
And she shared, ‘I understand that with posting a relationship online, you also have to show this side [and] the aftermath.
‘I just wanted to tell you guys, and it’s not love wasted. I feel like sometimes it’s so easy to think when a relationship ends that the love was wasted but love is never wasted. That’s all I have to say.’
The beauty shares four-year-old daughter Mary-Katherine, who goes by the nickname MK, with ex-husband Michael Stickler.
On Sunday, the gossip blog Deux Moi reported that Kat and John had allegedly been spotted together at a private members-only club.
The two were then pictured a day later on a dinner date at Fly Fish, another exclusive venue.
The music artist has dated a string of high-profile women, including Jennifer Love Hewitt, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry.
