Jessica Simpson took a walk down memory lane, and the web could not have been prepared for such a world. The singer/actress decided to show a sell-your-soul-and-saving-a-memory-forever kind of throwback photo: just on the 20th anniversary of her slipping into those iconic jorts featured in the Dukes of Hazzard film. People indeed have thoughts about it.

In the caption, Simpson shared how she would openly discuss insecurities she held back then while doing the music video for the movie’s theme song, “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’.” She even said that she did sometime in her life have self-doubts but slowly let’s these fade away in being wholly feminine and fearless with Daisy Duke model energy. “Fear turned into power,” she said. “Courage became a choice to celebrate.” However, now at 45, she started thinking about bringing back that bikini for a fresh throwback; judging by the reactions from the comments, the fans would literally kill to see that become a reality.
“Everything about this is so iconic,” a user chimed in. “Do it!!! Show these young bloods what’s GOOD!!” The frenzy broke loose, with many comments clamoring for the activation of the pink bikini and hailing its creator as a “legendary queen.”
Nostalgia hit the ceiling for many; one fan conveyed, “That outfit must have been the one for many young women when this was released. What a time to be alive.” Another added, “Remembering my youth and this video like it was yesterday.” Even the international fans had to stir the pot, writing, “I Love the Video since 20 years, greetings from Germany.”
Some, though, kind of resisted. One user threw a bit of shade, “Watch out girl they’re gonna put you in the Sydney Sweeney Club,” naming the new wave of bombshells roaming Hollywood. And then kin to all-things-internet, there was that one who just had to be different with, “I wanna love you forever is way better.” Okay, cool opinion, but… wrong crowd, buddy.
Simpson’s post really did not just delve into the outfit or the video—it touched upon the journey of personal growth. One fan, just recently finishing reading the memoir, wrote, “Just finished reading your book. You deserved so much better and so glad that you eventually got it.” It is obvious her story has deeply impacted people, whether they connect through nostalgia, restoration of confidence, or pure unadulterated joy seeing Jessica Simpson flourish.
So…would she actually do the bikini thing again? We’ll have to wait and see. But if the internet reaction is any indication, then yes, there is very much a demand for it. Otherwise great…but let’s not forget, the innocent enjoyment those jorts brought this world remain untouched.

We will be so here for it if she goes ahead and washes a hot rod in that bikini at 45! Señor.com will need maybe 500 replays of that.
