Jacob Elordi flirts up a storm with mystery woman after breaking down in tears over 13-minute standing ovation at Venice Film Festival

Newly single Jacob Elordi was seen flirting up a storm with a mystery woman as they toured Venice, Italy on Sunday together in what appeared to be a van.

The Australian 28-year-old beamed with delight as he chatted up the brunette woman while rocking a pair of orange-lensed sunglasses.

Jacob clearly has a thing for slim Caucasian brunettes having previously dated influencer Olivia Jade Giannulli and model Kaia Gerber.

On August 7, People was first to report that Elordi ended his on/off four-year relationship with the 25-year-old nepo baby of Lori Loughlin.

Before that, the Euphoria heartthrob enjoyed a 14-month fling with the 23-year-old nepo baby of Cindy Crawford ending in 2021.

But the mystery woman could have easily been one of Jacob’s sisters – Isabella or Jalynn – who sweetly supported him at the Venice International Film Festival premiere of his upcoming movie Frankenstein on Saturday.

Outlets reported that Guillermo del Toro’s $120M-budget big-screen remake of Mary Shelley’s 1818 Gothic novel earned a standing ovation of between 13 and 15 minutes, which made the cast and crew emotional inside the theater.

Jacob was seen wiping away tears as he embraced his Frankenstein team – Oscar Isaac, the 60-year-old Mexican filmmaker, and Mia Goth – as well as his relatives seated behind him.

The 149-minute film will compete for the prestigious Golden Lion on September 6 during the festival, before hitting US theaters October 17 and streaming on Netflix November 7.

Frankenstein – set in Eastern Europe in the 19th Century – currently has a 78% critic approval rating out of 27 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

Elordi has received the best reviews of his career as Frankenstein’s Monster (with a Yorkshire accent), and the plum part required up to 10 hours of prosthetic make-up application overseen by Alchemy Studios CEO Glenn Hetrick.

‘There’s so many different layers to the costume,’ the Narrow Road to the Deep North actor explained in his Variety cover story on August 20.

‘When he’s born, he’s wearing nearly nothing. His chest is open and his head is high. Then, as he starts to experience pain, as we do as a teenager, he starts to hunch his shoulders. And as an adult, he closes off.’

Jacob added: ‘It changed me fundamentally — changed the way that I approach performance and the way that I watch movies.’

Andrew Garfield curiously dropped out of the role of the Monster nine weeks before production ‘due to scheduling conflicts’ after replacing Guillermo regular Doug Jones, who had been attached as far back as the late nineties and early 2000s.

‘I’m very, very glad that it was [Jacob] doing it and I am of course disappointed that I didn’t get to do it because I love Guillermo, I love Oscar, and everyone that he assembled so I was disappointed,’ Garfield explained to Deadline last December.

‘But meeting Jacob felt really serendipitous so that I could really see and hear that maybe he needed that experience more than me.’

Felix Kammerer, Charles Dance, and Christoph Waltz also appear in the heavily-anticipated flick.

There’s been well over 14 Frankenstein films brought to the silver screen including James Whale’s 1931 classic starring Boris Karloff and Kenneth Branagh’s 1994 version starring Robert De Niro.

This film is not to be mistaken with Maggie Gyllenhaal’s 1930s-set remake of The Bride! – hitting US/UK theaters March 6 – starring her brother Jake Gyllenhaal, Christian Bale, Penelope Cruz, Annette Bening, and Jessie Buckley.

In April, Elordi wrapped his white-washed role as Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights – hitting US/UK theaters February 13 – which reunites him with his Saltburn director Emerald Fennell.

Heathcliff was originally written in Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel to be a ‘dark-skinned’ orphan found in Liverpool who’s of Romani, African, or South Asian descent.

The Chanel N°5 brand ambassador also concluded his role as the ‘psychopathic’ Nate Jacob

in the eight-episode third season of HBO hit show Euphoria, which is set five years after season two.

‘It’s really nice to be back,’ Jacob told Variety.

‘It’s been eight years or something since I started. It’s just lovely to see all these people that you’ve grown up with. It’s the same crew, the same cast.’

Sam Levinson’s drug-fueled drama will welcome newcomers Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, and Kadeem Hardison in season three.

Elordi’s other upcoming films include Ridley Scott’s post-apocalyptic thriller The Dog Stars and László Nemes’ big-screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s 1968 novel Outer Dark.
