How to Watch November’s Supermoon and When It Will Peak

Brace yourself for an enchanting evening!

On Nov. 5, the sky will put on a stellar show as the full moon rises and reaches its peak in the sign of Taurus.

Don’t bother setting an alarm; just look out the window. Due to it being a supermoon, Luna will be full and luminous, especially after sunset, when it hangs low on the horizon, glowing in a way only a supermoon can.

The best part? This marks the closest supermoon of the year, so expect an extra-bold lunar cameo that feels larger than life, literally.

According to the Farmer’s Almanac, November’s supermoon marks a time when some of the first snow appears in northern parts of the United States and Canada.

The cold frost on the grass gives beavers the signal to build their dams before the ground freezes, which is where the Beaver Moon name derives from.

Whether you’re watching from your backyard or a charming rooftop, let this luminous supermoon in Taurus serve as a reminder to stay rooted and savor what life has to offer.

According to NASA, a full moon becomes a supermoon when it reaches its peak while orbiting closest to Earth, a point called perigee.

That extra proximity makes it appear slightly larger and brighter than an ordinary full moon, giving the night sky a more dramatic glow.

November’s full Beaver Moon hits that mark and ranks as the most expansive of 2025.
