You can send a special thanks to your delivery driver this holiday season!

Amazon has launched its Thank My Driver campaign, allowing customers to tip their delivery drivers an extra $5 at no cost.

But how does it work? There are multiple ways for customers to thank their drivers. They can simply say, “Alexa, thank my driver,” using an Alexa-enable device or the Alexa app on their phone.

Or customers can search “thank my driver” on the Amazon website or mobile app for further prompts.

One catch is that customers can only thank the driver of their most recent delivery within the last 14 days, according to Amazon.

Additionally, the promotion is only applicable to delivery drivers who deliver Amazon packages in the United States, but also includes Amazon Flex delivery partners and Hub Delivery Associates.

Amazon Flex stated that the promotion will be capped at 2 million “thank yous,” after which the 200 most-thanked Amazon Flex delivery partners each day will be eligible to receive a $100 award until the promotion ends on Dec. 31.

There is a limit of one $100 award per driver.

Amazon said the drivers will be notified of the compliments they’ve received.

“Drivers deliver for our customers every day, and we want to show them our sincere appreciation and connect them with the customers they serve,” the e-commerce company wrote in a statement on its website.

According to Amazon, once a driver is thanked, it cannot be canceled.

The Thank My Driver campaign first launched in 2022. Since then, per Amazon Flex, customers have thanked their delivery drivers over 46 million times.
