With the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show fast approaching, Gigi Hadid is reflecting on booking her first gig with the lingerie brand 10 years ago.
The 30-year-old model is featured in an Instagram video shared by Victoria’s Secret on Friday (October 10). In it, she recalls the “dream come true” that was securing a spot in the 2015 show.

Gigi got a little teary-eyed as she recounted what it was like dealing with the industry’s scrutiny.
“I’m just so happy for her,” former Next in Fashion co-host shared, referring to her younger self, “She just wanted it so bad. I look back at pictures of that time and the world was so hard on her—and not just me, hard on girls.”
“That was an awesome time. I deserved to be there and to continue to come back to this show. I’m just so happy for that girl that got the first show, and also my teenage self who watched the show,” Gigi continued.
She will be participating in this year’s fashion show, too, which is happening on October 15.
