General Hospital was named Outstanding Daytime Drama Series at the 2025 Daytime Emmys.
The beloved ABC soap opera received the most coveted soap award of the night at the 52nd annual ceremony on Friday, Oct. 17. Also tapped in the category were Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless.
With the big win, General Hospital ended their 2025 tally with seven Daytime Emmy Awards, most in key categories.
General Hospital, which also took home the big title last year at the 2024 Daytime Emmys, holds the record for most wins for Outstanding Daytime Drama Series. This year, the series was nominated for 16 awards.
Among those nominations were Laura Wright (Carly) and Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) — who won — for Lead Actress; Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) for Lead Actor; Kate Mansi (Kristina) for Supporting Actress; Tajh Bellow (TJ), Gregory Harrison (Gregory) and Jonathan Jackson (Lucky) — who won — for Supporting Actor; Jacqueline Lopez (Blaze), Alley Mills (Heather) — who won — and Avery Kristen Pohl (Esme) for Guest Actress.
The show received additional nominations for writing, directing, costume design/styling, casting and hair and makeup.
The Young and the Restless, like its competitors, is a frequent winner in the Daytime Drama Series category, taking the honor 11 times.
The 2025 Daytime Emmys were presented in Los Angeles on Friday, October 17 and streamed live on watch.theemmys.tv and on the Emmys app.
