Fran Drescher slipped back into an iconic leopard-print look 26 years after donning similar attire for her hit CBS sitcom The Nanny.
The two-time Golden Globe winner celebrated her 68th birthday on Tuesday morning by receiving the 2,822nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during her induction ceremony held between Cherokee and Whitley Avenues.
Fran (born Francine) received her star in the category of motion pictures, and the honor reportedly required a $275 application fee and hefty $85K sponsorship fee.
Drescher paired her animal-print frock – which she’s owned as far back as 2023 – with a matching purse and slingback heels selected by stylist Brenda Cooper.
Hairstylist Jon Lieckfelt coiffed the Queens-born beauty’s dark wavy mane while make-up artist Gregory Arlt defined her brows and applied her lashes and red pout.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce officially declared September 30 to be ‘Fran Drescher Day’ and Fran was also honored Tuesday with a new exhibit at the nearby Hollywood Museum.

Drescher enjoyed a reunion with her former Nanny castmates Nicholle Tom and Madeline Zima, who portrayed the Sheffield Sisters her character cared for as kids.
Maddy – now 40 – called the event a ‘full circle moment’ and said the two-time Emmy nominee wasn’t ‘just a household name — she is the household.’
‘When The Nanny first hit our screens in the nineties, she didn’t just change television; she redecorated it. Suddenly, the working class Jewish women from Queens, they weren’t side characters anymore. They were the stars. They were smart. They were sexy. They were hilarious — and they wore Bob Mackie,’ Zima said at the podium.
‘Today, we honor Fran for all she’s given us — the laughs, the glamour, the advocacy, the heart and the very real reminder that being loud, being proud and being yourself is the most powerful thing that you can be.’
And Nicholle – now 47 – praised Fran for being ‘loud, strong, confident, colorful and kind.’
‘She was always honest with me. She mentored me through my childhood — I mean, my major growing up years from 14 to 21,’ Tom gushed.
‘Fran, I love you. I’ve always looked up to you, even though I had to wear flats. You’re my mentor and I just love you. Congratulations!’
Drescher – whose middle name is Joy – was also joined at her Hollywood Walk of Fame induction by Lisa Ann Walter, Ray Abruzzo, Frances Fisher, Joely Fisher, Shari Belafonte, and Donna Dixon.
The former SAG/AFTRA president’s 92-year-old onscreen mother Renée Taylor was originally slated to speak at her event, but was unable to attend.
Fran’s onscreen boss-turned-husband Charles Shaughnessy was ‘so sad’ to miss her ‘super-special day’ but he was too busy rehearsing his part as Captain E.J. Smith in the Ogunquit Playhouse production of Titanic: The Broadway Musical in Maine.
