Ethan Browne‘s cause of death has been made public.
The actor and model son of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame superstar Jackson Browne passed away on November 25 at the age of 52.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has just revealed their findings on Tuesday (January 13).

Ethan died due to the effects of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and lidocaine, and the death was ruled an accident, per People.
A rep for Jackson wrote on Facebook back in November, “It is with deep sorrow that we share that on the morning of November 25, 2025, Ethan Browne, the son of Jackson Browne and Phyllis Major, was found unresponsive in his home and has passed away. We ask for privacy and respect for the family during this difficult time. No further details are available at this moment.”
Ethan appeared in Raising Helen, and was raised by Jackson after his mother, singer Phyllis Major, died by suicide at age 30 in 1976 when he was just a toddler.
