“When I was elected to serve as your mayor, I said these words: ‘This campaign was never about me. It was about the people of this city.’”

He did not endorse a candidate amid the top picks, Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani and former Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Eric Adams became the Mayor in January of 2022. He was later indicted on federal charges of bribery, fraud and soliciting illegal donations for his campaign. The Department of Justice instructed prosecutors to drop the charges earlier this year.

A recent New York Times poll shows Zohran at 46% of the vote, with Andrew trailing at 24% and Eric at just 9%.
