Elle Fanning is gushing about her upcoming role in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping!
The 27-year-old actress will be taking on the role of a young Effie Trinket in the prequel movie, which follows Haymitch Abernathy and his journey in the Fiftieth Annual Hunger Games.
In a recent interview to promote her upcoming movie Predator: Badlands, Elle was asked about her Hunger Games casting and if she’s heard from Elizabeth Banks, who played Effie in the original Hunger Games movies.

“We haven’t yet, so we’re still coming up with it,” she told ET, adding she has seen some costume designs for Effie. “I’ve been talking to, you know, trying to get it just right, especially for the fans of that as well. I’m very excited though.”
As for if she’s spoken with Elizabeth, Elle confirmed they have talked!
“I actually have been in touch. She is, I mean, what she’s done with Effie, that character, she’s my favorite character when I watch those films, and I think that’s really because of Elizabeth Banks and how great she is,” Elle said. “She sent me flowers, it was beautiful, saying, ‘The odds are in your favor.’”
