‘Tis the season for friendship bracelets from Ed Kelce!

Travis Kelce’s proud dad Ed was spotted handing out friendship bracelets at the Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday, Oct. 19, a sweet nod to the tradition launched by fans of his future daughter-in-law Taylor Swift.

Chiefs fans Brianne Kobe and Decemeber Brammer were attending the team’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 19 when they stumbled upon Ed, 73, distributing beaded bracelets to fans, Brammer tells PEOPLE.

“We are season ticket members of the Chiefs and have been for 14 years. We’ve loved having the Kelce family in Kansas City, and welcome Taylor with open arms,” she says.

Brammer was walking into the stadium on Sunday ahead of the game when her husband spotted Ed.

“I noticed he was handing something out, so we walked over and asked for one,” she says. “He was so sweet and greeting everyone and [was] the cutest passing them out!”

The bracelets spell out “Travis” and “Taylor” connected by a single heart bead, and featured the letter “E” at the bottom, likely as a sort of signature for Ed’s first name.

Brammer describes the bracelets as “darling,” and is thrilled her friend happened to catch the whole thing on video.

Friendship bracelets have been a cornerstone of the Swiftie fandom since the start of Swift’s Eras Tour in 2023. Taking inspiration from a lyric in her song “You’re on Your Own, Kid,” fans took it upon themselves to create beaded bracelets using phrases, titles and lyrics from her music, which they then exchanged at the Eras Tour shows.

Swift’s dad Scott even got in on the fun, and was seen handing out bracelets to fans at shows, and Ed previously did so, too, at Swift’s concert in Toronto in November 2024.

The “Opalite” singer, 35, who is fresh off the release of her 12th album The Life of a Showgirl, previously told fans just how much the bracelets mean to her while performing in New Orleans in October 2024.

“You’ve created traditions. You’ve created this mass movement of joy every time we play a show. And it makes me so proud, it really does,” she said.

Swift and Kelce, 36, announced their engagement in December after two years of dating. Prior to them ever meeting, Kelce declared his interest in the pop star by announcing on his New Heights podcast that he wanted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it.

“They’re just two young people very much in love, cast in a spotlight that they really haven’t sought, but kind of followed with their success in their respective fields,” Ed told ABC 5 after the pair announced their engagement.
