Doug Martin has sadly passed away.
The NFL running back star, who played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Oakland Raiders, died Saturday (October 18) at 36, his family confirmed in a statement.

“It is with great sadness to inform you all that Doug Martin passed away Saturday morning. Cause of death is currently unconfirmed. Please respect our privacy at this time,” the statement reads, via the Tampa Bay Times.
He was selected in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft (31st overall) by the Buccaneers. After six seasons in Tampa Bay, he signed with the Oakland Raiders in 2018 for a final season.
He holds the Bucs record for most rushing yards in a single game, among several other records.
