Donald Trump Jr. is sharing more details about his engagement to Bettina Anderson.
“So we walk in, they had the whole thing decorated,” Trump, 47, told attendees at a surprise birthday party for his fiancée, 39, in Palm Beach, Florida, as seen in a video shared by friends John and Diane Sculley via Instagram.
Trump added that he kept trying to “distract” Anderson, who was “talking about other stuff,” and get her to look away from him so that he could pull the ring out of his coat pocket.
“And she keeps looking at me,” he continued.

Trump and Anderson announced their engagement at a White House event that they attended alongside Donald Jr.’s father, President Donald Trump, on Monday, December 15, according to footage posted via social media.
The video showed Donald Jr. thanking Anderson “for that one word — yes” as he addressed guests at a holiday party.
“She said ‘yes,’ so that’s a big win for the end of the year,” he continued.
Anderson then gave a speech of her own, addressing her future father-in-law directly.
“Wow, what a privilege it is to be here at the White House, Mr. President. Thank you so much for hosting this incredible party,” she said before giving a shout-out to first lady Melania Trump. “And to our first lady, these decorations … am I right? They are unbelievable.”
Anderson continued, “It’s really been the most unforgettable weekend of my life, and I get to marry the love of my life. I feel just like the luckiest girl in the world.”
Donald Jr. and Anderson were first linked in late 2024. The couple made their red carpet debut at a pre-Super Bowl party in February.
Four months later, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the couple was ready to take the next step in their relationship.
“She would love to have kids one day and sees what a good father he is,” the insider said. “She 100 percent would say yes if he asked her to marry him and his friends think that will happen sooner than later.”
The source continued, “He is very much a gentleman and pulls her chair out, lets her order first and treats her so well.”
Meanwhile, Anderson is “more shy but funny and Don appreciates how she lets him talk to people and be around his guy friends and hold her own conversations and enjoy herself.”

Donald Jr. was previously married to Vanessa Trump from 2005 to 2018. The exes share five kids: daughters Kai, 18, and Chloe, 11, and sons Donald III, 16, Tristan, 14, and Spencer, 13.
Around the same time that he finalized his divorce from Vanessa, 47, Donald Jr. began dating former Fox News cohost Kimberly Guilfoyle. The pair got engaged in December 2020, but they later split in late 2024.
“Don and Kimberly broke up before the election and started to divide assets around the end of September,” a source exclusively told Us in December 2024.
Meanwhile, Donald Jr. told Page Six at the time, “Kimberly and I will never stop caring for each other and will always keep a special bond. I could not be more proud of her and the important role she’ll continue to play [as U.S. ambassador to Greece].”
