Dolly Parton‘s sister is speaking out again, and clarifying some recent comments.
On Tuesday (October 7), Freida Parton shared a status update on Facebook asking for prayers for the 79-year-old country singer amid health challenges, causing great concern among fans.

After that update made headlines, Freida spoke out again to clarify.p.
“I want to clear something up. I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly,” she wrote on Facebook. “She’s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister.”
“Thank you all for lifting her up. Your love truly makes a difference,” she added.
Dolly Parton will no longer be performing in Las Vegas this December.
She was also recently forced to miss a big event at her Dollywood theme park due to a health issue.
