D4vd transfers homes to mother after police search house near where Tesla with teen girl’s body was abandoned

The embattled singer D4vd is shaking up his real estate holdings amid the investigation into the death of a 14-year-old girl whose body was found decomposing in a Tesla belonging to him.

D4vd (real name: David Anthony Burke) has reportedly transferred the deeds of two homes he owns near Houston, Texas, to his mother, according to documents obtained Thursday by TMZ.

The homes are reportedly not listed directly under the 20-year-old performer’s name, but are instead listed under the Thorn Rose Trust, according to KPRC Houston. The name is reminiscent of D4vd’s 2023 EP Petals To Thorns.

The Daily Mail has contacted D4vd’s attorney and manager for comment but has not yet received a response.

The singer has been engulfed in controversy ever since the dismembered body of Celeste Rivas was discovered in the trunk of an impounded Tesla owned by D4vd on September 8.

The vehicle had previously been parked near a Hollywood Hills mansion that he was renting before it was towed to an impound lot.

According to the real estate documents, D4vd transferred the home deeds on September 18 and 22.

The first transfer happened just a day after police executed a search warrant at at D4vd’s Hollywood rental home on September 17.

It was previously reported that D4vd’s family members — who have apparently already been living in the one of the homes — were the victims of what police determined was a swatting incident on September 18.

That day, a caller using a voice-disguising device falsely claimed in a 911 call that a woman was dead after a shooting at home in Cypress, Texas, that D4vd transferred to her mother.

Police bodycam footage obtained by TMZ showed officers arriving at the property, only for D4vd’s parents to open the door.

His mother informed police that the singer’s brother and sister were also alive and well in the home, and police reportedly left the property about 20 minutes after arriving after determining that the call had been part of a potentially deadly prank.

Late last month, the Los Angeles Police Department revealed that Celeste Rivas had likely been ‘dead for several weeks’ by the time her body was discovered in the front trunk of D4vd’s Tesla.

The seemingly slow progress of the case and the sparse drip of information about Rivas’ death has led to criticism of the police investigation throughout LA.

Amid the opaque investigation, D4vd has remained silent about any potential connection to the victim discovered in his car.

The singer reportedly broke his $20,000 lease and moved out from the Hollywood Hills home that his Tesla had been parked near shortly after police searched it.

An LAPD spokesperson said ‘several items of evidence’ were found during the raid, but there have been no updates on specific information gathered in the search.

D4vd has tried to stay out of the public eye, and he went on to cancel his planned touring schedule and delay the release of an expanded deluxe edition of his album Withered, which was originally released in April.

However, D4vd’s manager, Josh Marshall, recently spoke out to deny any involvement on his part in Rivas’ death.

Marshall, who owns the record label and media company Mogul Vision, responded to a poster on TikTok who claimed without evidence that he was involved in the case.

‘how dare you say something like this with no facts,’ Marshall replied. ‘This video is false and the person is misinformed. This is the only time I’ll speak on this matter. FOR NOW.

‘This has been a tough time for my family as I am a father of 3 children. I received no emails and I’m no one’s roommate, I live full-time at home with my wife and kids.’

Rivas' whereabouts in the months before her death have raised significant questions. She was reported missing in May 2024, when she was 13 years old, but the timeline was complicated when a video emerged appearing to show her shouting at her neighbors on September 8, 2024

Marshall also denied having ever lived in the home rented out by D4vd.

Rivas’ whereabouts in the months before her death have also raised significant questions.

She was reported missing back in May 2024, when she was 13 years old, but the timeline was complicated when a video emerged that was shot on September 8, 2024.

The clip, which was obtained by TMZ, appears to show Rivas shouting and hurling abuse at her neighbors for allegedly ding-dong ditching her parents’ home.

Police haven’t yet said if they were aware that Rivas may have returned to her family’s home after she was initially reported missing.

In 911 records obtained by the Daily Mail, it was revealed that police were called 33 times to Rivas’ home in the last three years.

The logs indicate that eleven calls came in from her home in Lake Elsinore, California, prior to her disappearance, while 22 came in after she was reported missing.

Deputies also responded to five criminal complaints and one emergency 911 call before April 2024.

While authorities have not yet established any solid link between D4vd and Rivas' death, insiders who partied with him told TMZ that they had seen the singer with Rivas and believed she was his girlfriend, though they believed she was 19, rather than 14

The records show deputies responding to five criminal complaints and one emergency 911 call before April 2024, while Celeste was still living at the address.

Sources previously revealed to the Daily Mail that Rivas had had a troubled home life and had run away from her family multiple times.

While authorities have not yet established any solid link between D4vd and Rivas’ death, insiders who partied with him told TMZ that they had seen the singer with Rivas and believed she was his girlfriend.

However, they claimed to be under the assumption that she was 19, rather than her true age of just 14.
