Aussie TV star Charli Robinson reveals VERY awkward moment she suffered an X-rated blunder during a Hi-5 kids’ performance: ‘My tongue got too big’

Charli Robinson has exposed an awkward slip-up she suffered during her time with the popular children’s group Hi-5.

The former kids’ entertainer, 45, revealed her ‘tongue got too big’ during one of her performances of Round ’em Up and she blurted out the wrong words.

She said her tongue swelled up so much she ended up singing an X-rated phrase during a performance for children in Singapore, reported Herald Sun on Friday.

‘I have a cowgirl song, and the lyrics are: “Sun is calling, wake up now, big day ahead, rugged life for a cowgirl, no time to laze in bed,”‘ she said.

‘My tongue got too big and I said “call girl” instead of “cowgirl”.’

The humorous tongue-tie threw the singer off her performance at the time.

‘I then couldn’t sing. I lost it. We’ve got in-ears so I can hear everyone else laughing,’ she added.

Charli rose to fame as a member of Hi-5 before leaving the band in 2008.

But the TV star looked very different from her days as a member of the group in recent Instagram photos.

Charli now rocks short blonde locks and regularly gives fans an update on her private life on social media.

In one recent photo, the TV star flaunted her figure in a leopard print swimsuit as she posed on a deck in a classic Bunnings hat.

Charli is married to Supercars driver, Liam Talbot, and the couple share two daughters—Theadora, five, and Kensington, six.

After her time with Hi-5, Charli appeared on Dancing With The Stars before doing a stint on Gold Coast radio.

The TV star went on to become a travel presenter for the TV series Getaway.

In 2021, the performer landed a role as a pit reporter for the Repco Supercars Championships, and defended her position as a female in the role.

‘You don’t need anybody telling you that you don’t know about cars and that you don’t know about motorsport because you are female,’ she told Supercars.com.

‘These women know their stuff. I think coming into the industry, you just need to be strong as a woman and realise people are going to say a lot of crap about you but that is only because they don’t know you.’

She added: ‘I am also a believer of the best person for the job. I am not saying that we need to put women in just to have a 50/50 split of men and women.’

Charli has also starred in Amazon Australia’s The Playmakers Save The Holidays.
