Brooks Nader has an addiction… to weight loss drugs!
The Dancing with the Stars performer made the troubling admission during an interview with Bustle published on Wednesday, where she admitted she began leaning on GLP-1s when she noticed they helped her “career.” The 28-year-old confessed:
“The facts are that when I started GLP-1, my career took off. I’m not saying it’s OK. I’m not saying it’s right. I think everybody is different — but I lost 30 pounds, and I booked all the jobs.”

Reflecting on when she struggled to book gigs, she recalled:
“If I didn’t get a job, I would say to [my old agency], ‘Can we get feedback from the client?’ The direct feedback was I needed to lose 30 pounds. I didn’t shed one tear over it. I don’t feel bad for myself. I just say, ‘The facts are they want me to lose weight. How can I achieve that?’”
Mind you, Brooks has NEVER been overweight since splashing into the spotlight on the pages of Sports Illustrated in 2019. We mean, look at a pic of her from that year (below):
So wild they wanted her to lose 30 lbs!
Brooks has been open about her dependence on GLP-1s like Ozempic in the past… Last November, her sisters even teased her on TikTok about using the diabetes drug to lose 20lbs. She claimed it was from “working out.” Watch (below):

Brooks told DailyMail.com shortly after:
“My sisters ratted me out on that, which they’re in huge trouble for, but yeah, I did [use it]. I tried it out when it first came out, and I liked it, I can’t lie.”
The model’s dependence on the weight loss drug even became a subject on her reality show Love Thy Nader in September, when her family expressed concern. During episode seven, she nearly passes out during a workout — which she proceeds to blame on the weight loss drugs. Her sister Mary Holland said:
“Just seeing all of the needles piled up in one place makes me realize the gravity of how deep she’s gone in it. This is different doctors, clearly. This is different pharmacies. That’s dangerous. She’s overprescribed. This amount is so concerning.”
Scary!
It’s one thing to use the drug to lose some weight, but to keep using it? When you’re perfectly fit? Even underweight already?? That’s scary territory. Elsewhere in the series, Brooks detailed this use:
“I typically micro-dose GLP-1, this weight loss drug. But now, since I have Maxim coming up, and I’m probably gonna be half-naked, I’m upping my dose a little because I want to be extra snatched.”
Sounds like such a slippery slope that can cross into addiction territory… Which Brooks now admits has gotten to that point. She told Bustle:
“The thing that I was so shocked about with the show was that I had so many people reach out to me saying, ‘I’m also addicted to GLP-1. I’m ashamed to talk about it because there’s such a stigma around it. It’s a crutch for me.’”
She admitted:
“I’m still on it. It’s a crutch for me, too. It’s not healthy. I should get off it; I’ll be honest about that.”
At least she knows, and that’s by far the hardest step. But getting off is the next hardest. The influencer previously told DM in her interview last year that she had taken a “hiatus” from GLP-1s because of how hard they were on her body:
“It was so taxing on your physical body and everything, and it makes you so tired, fatigued, so I kind of had to take a little hiatus from it.”
We hope Brooks can overcome her addiction before it becomes even more unhealthy! Clearly they have adverse effects on her body and her family is worried!
