Brandon Blackstock, a talent manager and ex husband of Kelly Clarkson, passed away on Thursday (August 7) at the age of 48 and more details have been revealed.
“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time,” a rep for the family told People.
Now, TMZ has published more information on the tragedy. If you don’t know, Brandon and Kelly were married from 2013-2020 and shared two kids: River, 11, and Remington, 9.

Sources told TMZ that the cancer Brandon had battled was melanoma, which is a skin cancer. He had apparently fought the disease for three-and-a-half years, and died just hours ago.
They also report that “everyone on the staff knew about the illness,” but it was not made public for privacy reasons.
Kelly and Brandon, who were married for seven years, finalized their divorce in 2022 after a tough custody battle.
