Blake Lively’s Team Responds to Taylor Swift News, Says There’s No ‘Evidence’ She Agreed to Deposition

Blake Lively‘s legal team is responding to the claims that Taylor Swift has agreed to sit for a deposition as part of the lawsuit with Justin Baldoni… and they’re not buying it.

In the filing, released online by Deadline, Lively‘s lawyers state that the “Wayfarer Defendants assert – though, notably, without evidence – that Ms. Swift has supposedly ‘agreed’ to sit for a deposition sometime between October 20-25 (some three weeks after the close of fact discover in this matter).” They say that the defendants have “not come close to establishing good cause for their requested relief.”

Lively‘s lawyers say that Baldoni‘s team had six months to plan the deposition with Swift, but it appears they didn’t contact her “regarding a date or location about the deposition until earlier this week.” They also say that there has been no explanation for the need for the deposition.

Lively‘s lawyers are requesting that the judge deny the extension of the discovery deadline.

Blake is seeking a payday from Justin in response to his “frivolous” lawsuit.
