Billie Eilish Yanked Into Barrier at Miami Stadium Concert in Brief, Scary Attack

Billie Eilish was violently yanked into the crowd by a concertgoer in the front of her Miami show as she stepped down from the stadium stage to greet the crowd on Thursday night.

A viral video of the incident at the Kaseya Center on Thursday shows the tense moment, which brought screams from the nine-time Grammy winner’s fans. In the clips posted to TikTok, Eilish is seen descending from the stage and high-fiving fans, who are seen tightly pushed up to the stage barricade.  A few seconds into her crowd greeting, the singer is seen whipping around and hitting the security barrier hard as security dives toward the crowd. After a beat, Eilish is seen yanking herself away and storms off, surrounded by security with an angry scowl on her face.

In the video, the security guard who leaped into the crowd at the man who yanked at Eilish appeared to be thrown backward by him. One young woman was seen by medics at the event and did not return to the area where the incident occurred, NBC News reported.

After the attack, a female fan could be seen confronting the man who pulled Eliish into the crowd. He was soon taken away from the stage area of the stadium.

“The person was ejected from the Kaseya Center,” the Miami Police Department said in a statement on Friday and added that no charges have been filed.

A witness told NBC News that he was in the front row and before he was to get the high-five from Eilish, he noticed a man in the second row reach out to pull in the singer.

“I saw that and my first reaction was like, ‘So what was his game plan, like, what was he trying to do here?’” Rodriguez told NBC News.

The network reports that when he arrived, the man told two young girls seated around him that he would not harass them; one of the girls’ mothers then confronted him, saying that if he left them all alone, there would be no problem, NBC reported.

Eilish is set to return to the stadium on Saturday as part of her “Hit Me Hard and Soft” tour. Her manager did not immediately comment to The Hollywood Reporter about the attack on Friday afternoon.

More to come.
