Beyoncé is paying homage to D’Angelo after his passing.
On Tuesday (October 14), it was announced that the soul music legend, whose real name is Michael Eugene Archer, passed away following a private battle with pancreatic cancer.
After his death, Beyoncé, 44, took to her website to pen a touching tribute to the late four-time Grammy winner.

“We thank you for your beautiful music, your voice, your proficiency on the piano, your artistry,” Beyoncé continued. “You were the pioneer of neo-soul and that changed and transformed rhythm & blues forever. We will never forget you.”
